Privacy policy

What we collect, why, and what we will never do with it. Short on purpose.

Who we are

ByRender is a UK web studio. For anything in this policy, the person to contact is a human at info@byrender.com.

What we collect

When you send the enquiry form we receive what you typed:

  • Your business name and town
  • Your name, and the phone number or email you chose to give us
  • Your current website address, if you shared one
  • Anything you wrote in the message box

This site does not use advertising trackers, and we never sell or share data for marketing. See Cookies below for the two cookies we do use.

Why we collect it

One reason: to build your free website preview and get back to you about it. That is the legitimate interest we rely on under UK GDPR. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell or share your details with anyone for marketing.

Where it goes

Enquiries are delivered to our team's private messaging workspace so a human sees them quickly. If you shared a website address, we will look at your public website to prepare the preview.

How long we keep it

If you become a client, your details become part of the working relationship. If you decide the preview is not for you, we delete the preview and your enquiry details. If we never hear back, enquiries are cleared out within six months.

Cookies and browser storage

Three things in total, and only one of them is a cookie. The first two are small values saved in your own browser, never sent to us and never seen by us. The third is a set of cookies from Google Analytics, and those only exist if you accept them.

Your rights

UK GDPR gives you the right to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Email info@byrender.com and it will be done without fuss. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
